Sometimes it can be challenging when a new baby joins the family.

Such is the case for Kibby, a miniature labradoodle who is enjoying his status as the only dog until his mom brings home a little sister—Olive.

Things get off to a rough start for Kibby, who does not like his routine spoiled. Worse than that, Kibby starts to wonder if his mom and dad don’t like him anymore.

Gone are his prime spots on the sofa with mom, Kibby’s private possessions, and his undisturbed nap time.

Kibby misses all the attention that his parents now shower on Olive, so he decides to act up. He jumps on the furniture, tears up the papers, and unravels the toilet paper. But they still dote more on Olive.

A trip to Doggy Day Care changes everything. Kibby notices that Olive doesn’t know how to play and that elicits his sympathy. He teaches her how to join in and soon discovers that it’s fun to play together.

When they get home, Kibby teaches Olive more life lessons, such as how to walk on a lead, fetch the newspaper, and go potty outside.

Kibby decides that life is much more fun with a little sister!

Kibby and Olive illustrate the challenges, experiences, and rewards that a family may encounter when a new baby enters the picture. For Kibby, there was a period of adjustment, but once again, life is wonderful!
