This book builds on the lessons learned in Understanding Fractions for Grades 2-4. Students learn multiplication and division of fractions and how to convert fractions to percent and decimals. Cut-out fraction bars are included to provide a tactile experience that helps students to more easily comprehend and retain these new concepts. Students will problem-solve their way through fun but structured lessons and develop a thorough mastery of relevant computational skills involving fractions. The book also includes lessons and exercises targeted to develop a solid understanding of how fractions are expressed using the decimal system. Teaching notes are provided.
