Mightier improves the emotional health of children (ages 6 - 12) who struggle with their emotions. The clinically validated program was developed by clinicians at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School and helps children practice coping skills by playing biofeedback games and addresses feelings of anger/aggression, irritability, feelings of frustration, anxiety, or a diagnosis like ADHD, ODD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Over time and routine practice, these skills will become automatic when kids face real-world challenges.
How Mightier Works:
- Children wear a heart rate monitor while they play, which allows them to see their emotions and connect with them directly.
- As their heart rates go up, the difficulty level increases, allowing kids to practice how to bring their heart rate back down (practice cooling down/calming down or “taking a pause”) in order to earn rewards in the games.
- Over time, children who play Mightier build their emotional regulation through coping skills to address real-world challenges.
- The Mightier App creates a world of fun games where your child can learn and practice visualizing and managing their emotions.
