Florence is visiting the ocean for the first time in her life. What will it be like? One thing she knows for sure: her cousin Kyler will be there! He’s the Junior Park Ranger at Crystal Cove State Park.
What Florence doesn’t know is that there are forests in the ocean and that the moon controls the tides, forming the fragile tide pool ecosystem at Crystal Cove. In this beautiful place, Florence discovers a new world with creatures she’s never seen: octopuses, anemones, urchins, crabs, starfish, and so many others! They live in a place that’s completely different from Florence’s prairie dog town.
In the fourth book in the Junior Park Ranger Adventure Series, kids will visit a very special ecosystem whose creatures need the changing water and sunlight that the tides provide.
