DYPER, a Certified B Corp, is the responsible diaper company that never stops asking “Y.” From the obvious, “Why can’t diapers use more plant materials?” to “Why do diapers have to end up in landfills?” DYPER offers products made with plant-based materials that are soft and absorbent with a focus on transparency, environmental offsets, and independent testing. Used DYPER diapers and wipes can be responsibly disposed of through our optional REDYPER™ service.
We’ve put a lot of thought and research into making a kind disposable diaper that works. Each diaper has a top sheet and back sheet made from 100% viscose from Bamboo, a soft, absorbent material that’s breathable and hypoallergenic. Bamboo is one of the world’s most renewable resources, among the fastest growing plants on earth, requires less water to grow, and can produce and reproduce a crop for years without replanting. Our diapers are made without chlorine, latex, alcohol, lotions, fragrances, phthalates, or TBT.
When users subscribe to DYPER deliveries, we purchase carbon-offset credits with every delivery, which go toward reforestation efforts that benefit all future generations.
Most commercial diapers take up to 500 years to decompose. DYPER thinks both Earth and your baby deserve better. REDYPER is our signature diaper disposal program that lets you send back used DYPER diapers to keep them out of landfills by turning them into something useful. To date, our REDYPER program has saved more than 10 million pounds of diapers from landfills.
We're continuously look to different technologies to address the growing problem of scalable diaper disposal. Our current approaches include commercial composting and pyrolysis using our patent-pending BYOCHAR™ installations. Our pilot installation is trialing the conversion of our diapers and wipes into usable biochar while sequestering carbon and reducing landfill impact.
DYPER diapers are a certified 55% USDA BioPreferred product, certified Standard 100 by OEKO-Tex®, clinically tested and awarded a 5-star Dermatest® rating. The wood pulp used is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and viscose from Bamboo is OEKO TEX STeP certified, verifying compliance with globally standardized criteria in all areas of sustainable manufacturing, including safety, environmental and chemical management, and efficient use of resources.
