When founder Nancy Yen’s son started preschool, he refused to eat his lunch unless it was warm - like the lunches he was used to at home. Nancy searched high and low for a container that could pack hot and cold food together. When she couldn’t find anything, she decided to create it herself. What began as an invention of necessity is now OmieLife - a company whose mission is to solve real problems through innovative solutions.
Parents are on a mission to pack healthy lunches, and it’s no easy task. They worry about things such as allergies, sugar content and pesticides - not to mention the persnickety whims of their children! They even go so far as trying to make lunch fun. But much to their dismay these carefully crafted lunches come back uneaten or as a big heap of unidentifiable leftovers. Warm, unwrapped cheese sticks. Half-eaten mushy sandwiches. Squished strawberries that have drained into their child’s backpack.
This is exactly why we designed a bento box that protects all of that hard work and love that parents put into creating these lunches. OmieBox packs hot and cold food together through insulation technology. A thermos insert keeps food warm for up to 4 hours, and the box is double walled and air insulated to keep foods cool. It can be used in a variety of different ways, so parents can pack their kids' favorite meals - no matter what it is!
