Brilliant Star Online empowers kids aged 8–12 to see themselves as world citizens and to use their character strengths to uplift their communities and the world. This responsive, dynamic, and safe website complements Brilliant Star magazine with a wide assortment of fun and educational materials to access on mobile devices, desktops, or laptops. Our content appeals to diverse learning styles while addressing timely themes in age-appropriate ways.
Guided by curiosity, kids can explore videos, articles, blogs, crafts, polls, and more. Inviting navigation draws kids to visually engaging content modules. As they travel through the site, “Side Trips” sidebars introduce new topics and “Continue Your Journey” sections present related content. The updated “Imagination Station 2” art app encourages creativity. “How to Draw” videos, interactive quizzes, games, and “Space Ace” video interviews with astronauts add to the immersive experience. Our STEAMS (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, and Spirituality) content is hosted in part by our STEAMS Education Advisor, Dr. Stephen Scotti, who was an engineer at NASA.
The “Luminous Library” provides over 55 full issues of Brilliant Star. Users can easily access activities on specific topics, such as justice or friendship, or find resources that fit their interests, such as crafts or science experiments.
A separate, robust “Parents & Teachers” section offers resources on education, child development, character strengths, family life, and more. “Inspiration and Resource Guides” support teachers with innovative ideas for using Brilliant Star in the classroom.
