Dante's Cool Wheels

Dante’s Cool Wheels is a compassionate story of one dog’s transition to living with a disability. This is Dante’s story and he’s the one to tell it. Told in first-person narrative, the plot follows Dante as he grows up in a loving home after being adopted from a shelter. Dante tells us about his accident and the sadness he felt when he could no longer run and play. When he meets new friends, including a three-legged dog and a little boy in a wheelchair, Dante knows his life is complete and they make a fine team of determined young people. This is a great inspirational story, as well as pointing out to young readers that we’re all different and we all have different disabilities, but we need to accept each other for who we are, just like Dante.
