Children are judged by their exterior every day, just like the Birds of Paradise. They are judged by the clothes they wear, the car their parents drive, and the home in which they live. They are even treated differently on the basis of their body type and athletic aptitude.
Through creative intelligence, passion, and tenacity, the hero in this story proves that true value can only be found in ones character.
