When friends Maci and Trey are pulled out of class because they mocked a fellow student, their teacher offers them advice:
Grass withers and flowers fade every time a bad choice is made.
In this imaginative tale, Maci discovers how to grow a beautiful garden in her mind by taking responsibility for her actions and making better choices. She also sees how Trey's poor decisions and behaviors (disrupting class and distracting others) are hurting him. His garden isn't blossoming. Instead, it's wilting and withering.
The Garden in My Mind was written by the talented Stephie McCumbee, with striking illustrations by Lisa M. Griffin.
