Wizdy Pets

Wizdy Pets is designed to teach kids about asthma, a chronic condition that affects more than 300 million people worldwide. By adopting and caring for an asthmatic, fire-breathing dragon, kids learn about living healthily with asthma, while having fun!

By creating a game that any young child - with or without asthma - can enjoy, we’re attempting to raise awareness within a broader community, while also normalizing a condition otherwise surrounded by stigma. Unlike other educational games, we weave our informational content to be empowering, fun and synonymous with the game, rather than having it feel like a learning tool or lecture.

Wizdy Pets teaches kids to recognize asthmatic reactions & symptoms, use an inhaler correctly, and identify asthma triggers in everyday surroundings. But most importantly, it entertains kids and simultaneously cultivates healthy lifestyle habits.

About Wizdy: We’re a health oriented startup from Harvard’s iLab. We create mobile games inspired by good health, and want players to have a stake in their own lives and work toward improving it. Our games are completely free to download, and contain no advertising. The goal here isn’t revenue, it’s making our world a happier, healthier place. Any educational content in our games was developed and approved by pulmonologists from Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
