Mr. Gringle’s Magical Wheelchair is a playful, engaging children’s book about a young girl named Lisa and her friends, who are bullied by a couple of kids in their neighborhood. When one boy jumps out to scare Lisa, her wheelchair breaks. Fortunately, a friendly and artistic neighbor steps in to help, giving Lisa a beautiful hand-painted wheelchair decorated with glittering rhinestones. He says it’s magic—but Lisa’s not so sure. Soon, however, little things start happening that make Lisa’s life easier, and she is able to stand up to the bullies at her school. It’s almost as though she has a special power. As Lisa gains new confidence, she helps her friends defend themselves, too, making her a hero among her classmates. Could it really all be because of Mr. Gringle’s Magical Wheelchair?
