Designed by a veteran educator of 20 years and piloted by thousands of children ages preK through high school, Templaytes® are a Game Changer. Six 8X8” puzzles are color-coded to include both primary and secondary colors and contain all basic shapes. Templaytes® also include unique shapes to entice the imagination. Two series are available: Monochromatic with a lighter color on the reverse side and Chalkboard series, with black chalkboard on the reverse. When arranged correctly, they can be stacked one on top of another for easy cleanup and storage. Back to Basics. No batteries required.
Templaytes® are screen-free, child-led wooden puzzles that allow kids to grapple with basic geometric shapes by either building mosaics or by drawing. By placing, tracing and overlapping Templaytes® shapes, children (and adults) experience spatial reasoning and strengthen fine motor skills. Occupational therapists have recognized the attributes to cognitive development in dementia patients and children alike. Templaytes® can create beautiful designs and imaginative narratives through thoughtful play. Promote STEM fields, when math is made visual with patterns and symmetrical designs. Geometry is better understood during exploration with Templaytes®. Math vocabulary is made visual and better realized with hands on, project -based learning. Templaytes® teach concepts through a STEAM approach to learning through play; such as, colors, shapes, numbers and encourage literacy with literacy titles to write on.
